Sample data. Candidate names, dollar figures, and voting records shown here are fictional and illustrative, built to demonstrate the format. The structure is API-ready: real figures will appear once FEC, OpenSecrets, and congressional roll-call data are connected. Outside spending is independent and never implies coordination with a campaign. Receiving money from an industry does not by itself indicate any wrongdoing.
The SAM Report — Special Interests Accountability Monitor · Methodology: “Money tracked” combines direct contributions, PAC contributions, and independent outside spending. The Influence Score (0–100) measures how concentrated a candidate’s supporting money is across sectors — context, not an accusation. Voting alignment compares each tracked vote to the position the candidate’s top-funding industry would favor.
